After 10 years in the fashion industry, designer duo Gauri and Nainika Karan extended their creative prowess to home interiors. The Gauri & Nainika Home flagship in Lado Sarai, Delhi, showcases understated furniture, home linen, and home accessories handpicked from across India. The brand also offers bespoke consultations.
Valaya Home Experience Centre
Another high-fashion brand to enter the world of interior design is The House of Valaya with Valaya Home Experience Centre at The Gallery on MG in New Delhi. The 6,000-square-foot space displays furniture and soft furnishings, flooring and wall installations, home accessories and the signature Valaya tapestries, designed by JJ Valaya. The label will introduce three interpretations each year, in sync with the fashion collections of the season.
Kuldeep Kaur decided to repurpose an old haveli in Delhi’s Jonapur village, as concept store, Serendipity. Her background in textile design and marketing facilitates a harmonious mix of vintage-style and contemporary furniture, fabrics, home accessories and apparel. The furniture is sourced from across India and international destinations like Bali; while the fabrics are designed in house.
